Useful perspective to think about life is to look at people (you, me included) as math derivatives (rate of change).
If a person's life is a function, most people's derivative (momentum) turns negative by 30.
And most people's "derivative" goes down in some area of life even if they're happy, have great work and so on.
Why? Well, for starters:
* People Age (universal for everyone and health only decreases as people age, irreversibly)
Additionally:
* Inflation & Overspending
* No promotion & No Learning
* Gaining weight & Losing muscle
Junk food, no exercise, desk jobs.
Desk job is inevitable in 21st century, but you can fix it.
Take walk/gym/run breaks.
Smokers can't help but take breaks, but those are unhealthy.
We don't control aging and inflation, obviously.
But the rest is in our hands.
The derivative doesn’t lie.
If you’re not actively accelerating, you’re already declining.
